🌿 Who I Work With

Image says "I guide women through deconstructing the impact of high-control religious systems with trauma informed processing to reconnect, learn from, and trust your intuition.

Healing from religious trauma isn’t linear. It’s layered, tender, and often hard to explain to those who haven’t lived it. If you’ve found your way here, you may be carrying stories, questions, or aches that don’t fit into the mold you were handed. You’re not alone.

I specialize in working with people who are ready to explore the impacts of high-control faith systems, unpack internalized messages, and begin reclaiming their sense of self—at their own pace, in their own way.

You’re in the right place if:

  • You’ve been deeply shaped by religious or spiritual systems that taught fear, shame, or disconnection—especially those rooted in fundamentalism, evangelicalism, or high-control groups.

  • You’re questioning what you were taught about yourself, your body, your identity, or your place in the world—and that questioning feels both necessary and terrifying.

  • You’re in the process of deconstructing your beliefs, leaving your faith community, or redefining your spirituality—and feeling grief, anger, confusion, or relief (sometimes all at once).

  • You’re navigating estrangement or tension in your family, friendships, or community because your values have shifted.

  • You’re LGBTQ+ and have been harmed by theologies or environments that denied or rejected your identity.

  • You’ve always been the “good one,” the overfunctioner, the caretaker—and now you’re wondering what it’s like to be seen outside of what you do for others.

  • You want healing that acknowledges both your intellect and your body—something that honors how deeply you think, feel, and process the world.

  • You’re feeling disillusioned or heartbroken by political shifts, authoritarian rhetoric, or the erosion of values you once trusted—and want a safe space to process what it’s stirring in you.

You’re unpacking more than just religion…

For many people, the process of deconstructing faith also brings up deeper questions about power, control, and collective trust—far beyond the walls of church.

You may be noticing how past conditioning—especially around obedience, certainty, or binary thinking—shapes how you respond to today’s cultural and political landscape. It’s not uncommon to feel grief, fear, or even guilt as you begin to name what no longer aligns with your values. Grieving the systems you once believed in—spiritual, familial, even national—is real.

I work with clients who are sorting through not just personal beliefs, but the emotional toll of waking up to authoritarianism, collective instability, and a culture that often rewards silence over self-trust. Together, we explore what integrity, safety, and self-trust look like for you—without bypassing the grief or complexity that may come with that journey.

Who I don’t work with:

I don’t work with clients who are currently seeking to return to rigid religious systems or hoping to “pray away” their trauma. My practice is not the right fit for those seeking faith-based counseling rooted in traditional religious doctrine. I respect those choices—but my work is oriented around self-trust, nervous system safety, and agency.

You don’t have to be certain to begin.

You don’t have to label your experience as trauma to want support.
You don’t have to have all the answers to start asking new questions.

If you’re feeling the ache of disconnection, the weight of spiritual confusion, or the cautious hope that healing might be possible—I’d be honored to hold space for you.
